Gurleen Kaur Kalsey, born and brought up in Delhi, is presently a Fellow at Naropa Fellowship in Ladakh. She has a Bachelors in Economics from Delhi University and has been an office bearer in her college societies, along with interning with various organisations like the DMRC and the MHRD. She has worked with FICCI-CSR and has actively volunteered with social organisations like CRY and My Angels Academy. In her free time she enjoys listening to music, sometimes singing or writing poetry.
She believes in the saying, ‘The core of (wo)man's spirit comes from new experiences.’ These sayings have fired her decision to explore and create a path of her own. This exactly is the reason why she choose to be at FHTS. She believes that as a part of FHTS, she will become more insightful of the condition in the urban slums and the reasons for the failure of policies intended to improve the living standards of the people. The community engagement and field work, whenever possible, would further magnify her knowledge about the same. And the same reflects her expectations from FHTS as an organizations.
