PhD Fellow

Dr. Akash Prabhune is Dental Surgeon with masters in Clinical Research from Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research and Public Health Foundation of India. He has worked with Tamil Nadu Government on last mile delivery of health services. He was engaged with Indian Council of Medical Research as Medical Scientist and worked on National Heart Failure Registry. He has worked on digital health and currently working with Public Affairs Centre and its sister Association Centre for Open Data Research on optimisation of public health system in Karnataka using AI and ML approaches. He leads the team of public health professionals and data scientists for optimising the availability of drugs across Karnataka. He has also worked to provide healthcare analytics inputs to Karnataka Government during COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Akash has been associated as clinical trials specialists for various investigator initiated clinical trails and systematic reviews. He intends to work on evidence generation of adaptation of digital health initiatives in resource intensive settings and advocate for transformation of health system through technology.
