Ashwani Verma is a public health and development sector professional with more than 5 years of experience. He has done Bachelors of Physiotherapy in 2013 and Masters in Public Health (Epidemiology) from Manipal University, Manipal in 2015. He has started his career as a Research Assistant in a CDC funded project titled “Hospital based surveillance of Acute Febrile Illness in Western Ghat region of India” and a team member of outbreak investigation team. He has developed the skills of monitoring, evaluation, and research during his engagement in maternal, new-born & child health and family planning programs at Jhpiego, New Delhi. He is expertized in conducting primary research studies at national level, systematic reviews, evidence gap maps, implementation, and formative research along with program monitoring and evaluation. He was involved as a National Consultant- Monitoring and Evaluation for Non-Communicable Disease program at Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi. He is ascertained that the India can do a great piece of work for the management of non-communicable diseases. He believes that Population Health Informatics shall act as an important domain for the integration of digital health infrastructure under National Digital Health Mission.
