PhD Fellow

Rohitashwa is a Development Professional with more than 13 years of work experience in Public Health Sector. He has managed and implemented various healthcare projects such as Tuberculosis Control Program, Non Communicable Diseases (Tobacco Control), Family Planning, Gender Issues, HIV/AIDS, Child Health (Diarrhoea Management), Migration, Reproductive Health, Youth issues. He has studied Masters in Social Work from Udaipur School of Social Work, Rajasthan India and Masters in Development Studies from Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, Brighton United Kingdom. He received fellowship from Ford Foundation International Fellowship Programs in 2011.
He has been conducting direct program implementation as well as providing support in advocacy with State as well as National government on various health projects since 2005. He is skilled in Program and Team Leading, Project Planning, Management and implementation, Government Liaison, Advocacy, Donor Liaison, Proposal Development, Monitoring and Evaluation, Stakeholders Management, Training and Capacity Building.
He thinks that Population Health Informatics can play an important role in evidence based health programs development, which can be useful for effective policy level changes. He is working in Tuberculosis Control/Elimination Programs since 2014 and felt that PHD in Population Health Informatics can help him to support the national program in more systematic and scientific way. Ph.D. program in Population Health Informatics is a great match for his interests and it will certainly help him in advancing his professional career and achieving one of his dreams.
