Goals:

During my undergraduate years, it was difficult for me to foresee what was coming. I had set up simple goals that were achievable. With each passing year, I have learned to test and stretch myself by setting goals that seem distant and demand extraordinary efforts from my point of view. Now, pursuing my Masters in Public Health and currently undergoing the internship program, after which I see myself in a better position to understand and relate to the real world public health issues. Being occupied with my ongoing academic session for the next year I would focus on the course and assignments to achieve good academic results.

After completion of my postgraduate studies, I see the years ahead to be full of challenges and responsibilities which require better decisiveness. Being new to the public health domain, initially, I would look to associate with an organization working in the field of cancer awareness and care. In the next few years, I would prefer to work with different organizations and gain valuable experience in public health.

With some experience gained, a few years down the line I would look to engage with an NGO or initiate a program on my own to address cancer awareness and care. The general awareness about such diseases is very low in the hinterlands of my native state. There is a need to address these issues and raise awareness of the patients and their families about the disease and the related care.

Testimonial:

Enrolling into the online internship at FHTS has proved to be one of the great learning opportunity. FHTS team led by Dr. Joshi engaged us with many activities which enriched my perception about public health globally. The regular presentations added value to my speaking and writing capabilities. In a nutshell, the time spent with FHTS team carved a way forward for my public health career.
