Webinar Presenter: Dr. Harpreet Kaur

In this Research Seminar Dr. Harpreet Kaur will be presenting an overview of multiple FHTS studies on “Mapping Sustainable Development Goals in urban Slums of Delhi”. The objective of the talk will be to discuss the need and significance of mapping Sustainable Development Goals in urban slums and substantiating it with various FHTS research studies on urban slums and their outcome.

Harpreet Kaur has her Ph. D in Demography and Human Molecular Genetics from Department of Anthropology, University of Delhi. She has over 7 years of experience of working in various projects regarding Maternal health, Child health, Millennium Development Goals and Sustainable Development Goals. Presently she is working as a Public Health Researcher at the Foundation of Healthcare Technologies Society. Primarily she is handling the diverse Urban slum projects of the FHTS. She is also teaching Demography and Research and Publication Ethics in their Ph. D program. Along with this she is also engaged in diverse Population Health Informatics projects and is actively involved in various FHTS community initiatives such as Swasthya Pahal, VINSPIRE, SMAART IMPACT, RISE. She is also involved in the core team for FHTS’s response to COVID-19, “SMAART RAPID Tracker” dashboard, which is an interactive policy informatics platform tracking spread of COVID-19 outbreak and policy actions globally. She aims to carry forward the FHTS vision and mission of translating research into practice through technology-based solutions and empowering individuals for their overall well-being.
