Data-driven approaches to address nutritional problems are emerging across the globe ranging from community interventions to nationwide policy making. Nutrition informatics (NI) is the effective retrieval, organization, storage, and optimum use of information, data, and knowledge for food-and-nutrition-related problem solving and decision-making. There is a growing opportunity to facilitate technology-enabled behavioral change interventions to support NI research and practice. Nutrition informatics specialists deal with a great deal of information related to health and nutrition. Nutrition informatics specialists are tasked with organizing and managing health information data.
The event will include national and international speakers with a wide range of expertise in the field of nutrition informatics, research, policy, practice and health communication.
