I am a dental surgeon, graduated from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences. I have two years of clinical experience. After doing some online courses on public health; I was looking for an internship in this field. A virtual internship is a perfect opportunity to utilize my time and plan my career.

The current pandemic made me curious about public health. Interning with FHTS helped me to understand the importance of passion and drive in your career. I am a dental graduate, with a little exposure to public health (as a part of public health dentistry).Hence I could not catch up on a lot. On the other hand, being mentored by brilliant and passionate minds made me realize that there is a lot more to have successful career than a degree or a work position, but an unwavering curious mindset and hard work is the key to growth. Also because of smart rapid tracer, I developed an interest in use of informatics tool in health. For me the internship helped my mindset and my resume.
