Public Health Trainee
I am Dr Anoja Sundar. I have completed graduation in Ayurvedic Science (BAMS) and final semester results awaiting MPH scholar. After graduation, I set up my own clinic and run for a year successfully. Along with I acquired clinical experience from different private Ayurvedic hospitals. Gradually I realized the importance of service provision at a community level and turned my career into the domain of Public health. I have done a cross-sectional study on the assessment of nutritional status and dietary behavior of older adolescents at Parul University as the dissertation for 6 months. I have got the opportunity to do an internship at National Health Mission and gained knowledge of indicators of evaluation of RMNCH+A at the district level.
Being an enthusiastic student and interested in both Ayurveda & public health, I tried to collaborate Ayurvedic principles with Public Health.
I put forward a novel idea to conduct a Randomized Controlled Trial to evaluate the effectiveness of Punarnavadi Mandur in comparison with IFA in Anaemia due to malabsorption in late adolescents who are under the iron-containing food intake as per RDA. It is funded by Central Research for a development University and I became a co-investigator.
Apart from the public health domain, I have an interest in reading articles related to the history and geography of India, Spirituality, etc. I like cooking, writing short stories.
