Gopikirshnan KM has done B.Sc. Nursing from RGUHS, Bangalore and M.Sc. Medical informatics from Amrita Institute of Medical Science, Kochi, Kerala. He has about five years of teaching experience as lecturer in medical informatics at College of Medicine, Majmaah University, Saudi Arabia., there he played an important role in developing and implementing Medical informatics curriculum for under graduate medical students. Apart from that he took part in various research projects under ministry of health, Saudi Arabia in conjunction with College of Medicine Majmaah University, Saudi Arabia, the research project titled “Tuberculosis Trend in Majmaah, Saudi Arabia: A 10 Year retrospective study (2005-2014)” was one of that. He was also a Member of Quality Assurance Commitee (2014-2017), NCAAA (National Committee for Accreditation and Assessment), Medical education department committee (2012 -2017), International Academic Relation Unit (2013-2017) and Curriculum review committee (2015 -2017). Currently he works as a Subject Matter Expert in Healthcare informatics.
He believes that the PhD Population Health informatics program will provide him the opportunity to broaden the knowledge in health informatics and scientific research. He is keen to do research on patient centric health informatics solutions to manage acute and chronic diseases.
