Dr Ruchi Sogarwal is a multi-faceted professional in Health and Development sector with core
expertise in Public Health Policy Research, Health System Research, Program Evaluation,
Strategic Corporate Social Responsibility and Business for Development. Dr Sogarwal has strong
experience of leadership role across Government, NGO and Corporate within India and Low-
Middle-Income Countries with outstanding contribution towards organizational goals across various
thematic areas like Infectious and non-communicable diseases, and mother and child health
issues.

Dr Sogarwal is a Founder and Managing Director at International Institute for Human
Development, a social enterprise committed for social impact. She is a lead partner of the
consortium of civil society organisations dedicated for SDGs across India (Vikas Samukhya). In the
past, she served the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, and led various
CSR/philanthropy supported implementation science projects contributing to the national
sustainable development goals (SDGs) to improve health outcomes. She has earned PhD in Science
(specialised in Epidemiology), Masters in Population Sciences (International Institute for Population
Science, Mumbai) and Executive Global Business Management from (Indian Institute of
Management IIM), and had been trained in Public Health and Biostatistics at the University of
Michigan, USA. She has published 40 papers in indexed Journals and has been serving as a member
of editorial board, advisory and scientific committees of global repute.
