Academic Coordinator and Researcher
Sofia Saggu is an Academic Coordinator and a Researcher at the Foundation of Healthcare Technologies Society (FHTS).
Born and brought up in Bangalore, She is a graduate and Post Graduate in Food and Nutrition from Mt. Carmel College, Bangalore. Currently completing her doctorate in Food, Nutrition, and Public Health. Prior to FHTS, she had a stint as Research Nutritionist with an MRC-LEU-funded Diabetes research study at CSI-HMH, Mysore. She is qualified for lectureship by the University Grants Commission, India since 2016. She is also a Certified Diabetes Educator and a life member of the Indian Dietetic Association, Christian Medical Association of India, and Nutrition Society of India.
With a keen interest in Public Health, Maternal and Child Health, Health Education, and Non-Communicable Diseases along with a strong academic background as a Junior and Senior Research Fellow(JRF &SRF), she hopes to make an impact through her work and water the grass wherever she is.
On a work-free day, she likes to put on some good soul music, grab a book to read, and eat a cake she baked!
