Goals:

Life is full of uncertainties and surprises, sometimes they bring you down, sometimes they take you high and both have their own beauty of the experience. If I had to think about where I would be in a year I'd first go back a little and think how I reached where I am today and who is this woman that I am becoming. Is she happy? Is she doing what she loves to do? In these answers, I'll know the path I have chosen to walk on, even if it is the road that is less traveled by. I have always dreamt of doing something beyond ordinary in life. To step out of my comfort zone and make an effort to do something both for myself and society.
From where I stand today, having completed my degree and now walking towards the end of my diploma by choosing to intern at FHTS I feel like a step is closer to my dream. Of being eligible to work and serve the community as a practicing dietitian, to prevent and cure illnesses with basic food and alteration techniques. I see myself working and learning every day the art of helping others live a healthier life. I see myself gaining practical knowledge and hands-on training from the experts in my field who I have always looked up to. My one-year goal is mostly about my career and my determination to establish a successful one.
I want my future self to have a platter filled with everything that she likes. An on growing career, family, love, a few genuine friends who I know will cheer for my achievements, big or little. I know great things take time but I want to be in the process of it, even if I haven't achieved doing something extraordinary for society by then I want the determination in me to shine brighter and push me ahead each day. My big dream is to start a business or a company that serves hygienic, fully nutrient adequate, and wholesome meals to people who cannot afford to eat healthily and in the right quantities, living in low lying areas that become the prime reason for a number of diseases, degrading the level of health in the country- at minimal and affordable prices. I like to think that this will provide employment to a few and balanced diets to a large community. It will help the children grow better and healthier and with these baby steps, someday- pave the way for a brighter future for our country. My love for literature and art has grown so much over the years that I now cannot see a future without dreaming of being an author of at least one well-known book that I want to write. With so much in mind, I hope I'll be able to make all of it- my career, a workplace, a book, and a beautiful home for my family. But most of all I want to be happy and healthy. In the end, I can only pray that wherever life takes me, in a span of three years I at least be on my journey to achieve all my dreams and work hard every day at every step, struggle but not give up so when I finally reach where I want to, I can look back and own all of it with pride.

Testimonial:

Having been an intern of such a prestigious and committed organization, I enjoyed every bit of learning here. From day 1, the kind of training and exposure I have been subjected to has broadened my spectrum of knowledge and increased it in value. Nutrition informatics and data organization are two new things that I have learned and acquired through the journey. It has taught me that with the right use of technology, so much can be done within a short time and sent to a large group audience. The introduction to the SMAART Rapid tracker is beneficial for a number of reasons. All that I learned and discussed here will be a part of me that I know will later take me to better heights in life. Hence, I am grateful for the opportunity of working so closely with the FHTS as a team.
