Many individuals use YouTube to search and disseminate health-related information. The study aims to examine the quality and reliability of COVID-19 vaccine-related information on YouTube using the DISCERN tool and Global Quality Score (GQS).

Objective: The objective of our study is to examine the quality of COVID-19 vaccine related information over the internet using the DISCERN tool and GQS.
Duration: 6 months
Methods: An evaluation study was conducted using the following keywords including “COVID-19 vaccine”,” COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness”, “COVID-19 vaccine safety”, “COVID-19 vaccine efficacy”. The first 20 videos from each search term were gathered to generate a list of 80 videos. Duplicate videos, non-operational links were excluded from this search, allowing analysis 67 of unique videos. Two independent raters evaluated the videos using the DISCERN tool and GQS to assess the quality of coronavirus vaccine related information available on YouTube. The interrater reliability agreement was calculated using the intracluster correlation coefficient.
