Conclusion
Seventy seven percent of the beneficiaries had hypertension and another 69% were overweight or obese. One third of the beneficiaries had a high blood sugar and equal amount of beneficiaries consumed alcohol or smoked cigarettes or bidhis.
Lack of time due to long duty hours and stressful working environment were the main reported reasons for poor health condition of the beneficiaries. Many of the beneficiaries wanted to do regular physical exercise and adopt a healthy eating pattern to keep them healthy and improve their blood parameters and blood sugar. However, lack of time was their main perceived barriers towards achieving the same.

Details of RISE products sold during the camp: Several RISE products were sold during the camp day. A total of 7 beneficiaries viewed RISE products of which 6 were males. Most popular products were diyas, pouches and phone cover. Details of the RISE products sold are mentioned in the table below.
RISE (Research, Innovation, Skills and Entrepreneurship), a collaborative Women Empowerment initiative of FHTS and P.H.RISE, USA, aims to Educate, Employ and Empower women, by providing them skills in research, innovation and entrepreneurship. Under RISE initiative, our aim is to create 500 sustained employment for urban slum girls. We aim to provide platform to urban slum women and girls to not only be independent but also support their families, nurture their dreams, create their own identity and be a source of inspiration to many.
