I am Arulprakash Sivanandan, pursued Masters in Public Health from JIPMER, Puducherry. My point of interest is to strengthen primary health care and disaster management through data analysis, research and Campaigning. I have research experience on people’s perception about Rural Health Center in industrial area in Puducherry, health status of people living around industrial area in North Chennai, educating volunteers and other stakeholders about environment and health and running campaigns.

My point of interest is health system strengthening. I have quite a good experience in primary health care management, auditing and pandemic surveillance. Along with these, with the experience gained I like to work on research and research paper writing on primary health care and outbreak surveillance in future.
This internship taught me that it is possible for a public health individual to collect data, analysis and produce papers that can be useful in future for policy making process. Collection of data from government website about new policies and comparing it with current status of pandemic is completely new to me. Thanks to FHTS for letting me to know the importance and experience the importance of data informatics in the field of public health.
