I am Dr Revathi N. I have completed BDS and Master of Public Health from Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research. I am also pursuing MSc Psychology through distance education from University of Madras. As part of the course curriculum, I did my dissertation on “A Comparative Analysis of Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme (CMCHIS) and Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) in a tertiary care hospital in Chennai”. I did external monitoring for Intensified Mission Indradhanush 5.0 Phase 2 under WHO.

1. Gain knowledge and experience: Public health continues evolving with changing health needs and emergencies. As FHTS has played a major role in developing innovative ideas to overcome health emergencies, I wish to gain significant knowledge and experience from professionals by interning here.
2. Improve skills: I would like to improve my communication skills, decision-making ability, time-management and creative thinking. I would also like to work on my problem-solving ability. I would also like to enhance my data analysis skills, improve scientific writing, literature review and statistical knowledge.
3. Make use of my knowledge and skills: College education has provided me with theoretical knowledge about public health and psychology. I would like to make good use of it along with whatever skills I have and come out as a better person.
4. Exposure to public health issues: By interning here, I intend to gain insight into current public health issues and explore possibilities on how to tackle them.
5. Career growth: My long-term career goal is to become a Research Scientist. I see this opportunity as a first step towards it. Hence, I would like to learn whatever I can and make use of it to achieve my long-term goal.
