Observation

A total of 13 staff members attended the Breast Cancer Awareness month organized by our 4 interns on 31st October 2023 at Foundation of Healthcare Technologies Society.

Positive participation was seen throughout the event. All the participants were engaged in finding the answers to the questions.

Most of the participants have correctly answered all the myth buster and trivia quiz questions.

The event had some fun activities like tongue twisters and word find puzzles. The attendees participated actively in all the activities. It was an interactive session.

The following question was discussed after the event:

  1. If one’s blood tests are alright and one doesn’t have family history of Breast Cancer, should they still go for a mammogram after 35 years of age?
  2. It is always better to go for screening of breast cancer to detect it at an early stage at least once a year.

Moreover, According to CDC guidelines, if there are any noticeable changes during Breast-Self examination then one should visit a doctor for consultation. If recommended, they can go for a mammogram, it is a valuable checkup, although it may not be easily affordable for everyone.
