I Chanchal Singh am a dentist by background and I am currently pursuing Masters in public health in Global Health from Queen’s University Belfast united kingdom. I have not done any previous work in this field and would like to gain some experience in research and some more insights into global public health. I have done several social works before like NGOs, volunteer work with social organizations. I worked as a treatment coordinator in a dental clinic for one and half years after my undergrad, in TODAYS DENTAL, GREENVILLE, USA.

Next one year
In the next year, I want to work on my skills and develop leadership qualities to build a fruitful public health career in the long run. Skill development in fields of Epidemiology, statistics, health policy is my priority. My interesting area is Global health governance and joining organizations like the World Bank, UNAIDS, WHO, UNHCR, UNFPA, etc. I want to work in international/national public and global health organizations where I can get rigorous training and explore the practicality of this field apart from the theory. Get a ground reality of the public health system and its status and manage and explore how to work in lower- and middle-income countries where the development of public health is a much-needed cause. I also want to get a good hold on the research field so as to develop and garner my skills which can help in the improvement of the practice of public/global health in the long run to one and all.
Next three years
In the next three years, I see myself as a better public health professional whose skills are all developed and is still thriving to gain more experience which can help the budding public health professionals in some way as a guide and also the community at large by promoting and practicing ethical public / global health. I want to be basically a part of the Government as an officer or a specialist like in infectious diseases or public health consultants or managers. I also would like to get into academia as a faculty to teach young minds. If I do good in my early years I would definitely hope for becoming a vice president in any public health program of my interest.
