Generating employment in the hills of Himalayas using SMAART Framework by Dr. Joshi

Semog has a total population of 391 people with about 50 houses. Out of 391, 172 are females and the literacy rate is 46.5% for females. Vikasnagar is the nearest town to Semog for all major economic activities, which is approximately 42kms away.

Research, Innovation, Skills, and Entrepreneurship (RISE) is an initiative that provides a unique platform for empowering women. It is a think lab that translates ideas into practice through technological innovations. We provide women an opportunity and contribute in cultivating their skills, making them employable and self-reliant.

We are thrilled to announce the hiring of two women from village Semog under this initiative and their place of work is their own village overcoming the barrier of travelling to the town for employment making the opportunity provided by FHTS as a SMAART Job because it is Sustainable Multi-sectoral Accessible Affordable and Tailored.
