The goal of the presentation was to provide insights on the Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the self-care management of Noncommunicable Diseases especially with a focus on Diabetes, Hypertension, Obesity, and dyslipidemia. The presentation elaborated on the concept, components, and application of AI with relevant examples to understand AI-based platforms that have been developed to date. The presentation discussed the working principles of a few AI platforms and themes of ethics in the application of AI in healthcare.

The presentation was quite engaging and interactive, extending knowledge of law and governance related to data privacy for the audience. It was followed by a question-and-answer session, in which the presenter answered questions about the affordability of AI platforms in the Indian Context and AI-related national programs currently running in India . In all, it was a profound and thought-provoking Journal Club Session.
