GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

To create a community of public health aspirants and a platform to share insights, views and, real-life experiences of professionals in the field, with a keen focus on mentorship, informed decision making and assessing preparedness of the aspirant for a career in public health. Our main objective was to make aspiring students informed about the importance of research in public health

EXECUTION

The first event in the series – Gateway to Public Health focussed on Importance of Research in Public Health. The event was implemented by a dedicated team where the moderator was S K Revathy and the Speaker was Dr Harpreet Kaur. Conceptualization to implementation was a 2 Weeks process. Coordinators conceptualized and presented the event framework, implementation plan and social media strategy by Ankita Kohli. The medium for dissemination of the information was through various communication platforms of the organization. The digital form was circulated across all platforms for registration and probing into queries of the aspirants. Our Speaker, Dr Harpreet Kaur, ensured the lucid flow of questions and discussion, and also engaged the attendees in an interactive discussion. CAMP (Career and Mentorship Program)

  • Over 110 registrations were made for the event and 30 attended.
  • Aspirant engagement was seen over all the communication platforms of the organization.
  • Attendees were professionals, academicians, students and others from various healthcare and allied sectors.
