v-INSPIRE Intern, FHTS

I’m Dr.Abirami, I’m a dentist and completed my graduation in the year 2016. I worked as an assistant dental surgeon for 3 years in a private dental clinic. Through public health dentistry in my BDS curriculum, I learned about the basics of epidemiology, research methodology, community-based healthcare approach, and healthcare workers at the grassroots level. To get an enormous knowledge about all this I decided to pursue my internship at FHTS.

Highest Education: BDS - The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University

Date of Joining: November 10, 2021

Goals:

The covid-19 pandemic brought wreck to all the healthcare development across the world by ruining the lives and livelihoods of millions of people. It eroded the fiscal health care of all developing and underdeveloped countries in a catastrophic way, even developed countries to a certain extent. I strongly believe there is a symbiotic relationship between the environment and human beings; this should be maintained in a better way to achieve a healthy community. This made me determined to pursue public health career which will give me the opportunity, not only to deal with health-related problems but also to decipher broader key issues such as poverty, environmental health hazard, violence, etc...
