Operational Research is an interdisciplinary branch that uses systematic research techniques for decision-making to achieve specific outcomes. It aids in the design of interventions, strategies, and coverage of programs and the development of tools to improve quality and effectiveness.
Objective: The objective of the study is to instil elements of research in undergraduate medical and nursing college students in order to provide skills and expertise in data-driven, evidence-based decision making.
Duration: 1 Year
The outcome of the study will be multi-tier as with the introduction of the OR in their course medical students will be able to understand the concept behind research and will have proficiency with tools from optimization, probability, statistics, simulation, and analysis, including fundamental applications of those tools in the public sector in contexts involving the community health.
