FHTS has commenced its Certificate Program in Operational Research in Population Health (ORPH), designed for students of Commonwealth University College of Medicine (CUCOM), St. Lucia. The program is focused on students from Pre-Medical and Doctor of Medicine tracks, equipping them with foundational skills in population health research. FHTS oriented these medical professionals and pre-medical prospective students under this partnership. The session placed strong emphasis on experiential learning, with our instructor orienting students on the structure and curriculum of the academic program, the fundamentals of operational research in population health, and the principles of research capacity building. We look forward to nurturing this new generation of medical students as they take their first steps into population health research.
