Overview

Foundation of Healthcare Technologies Society—Institutional Human Ethics Committee (FHTS-IHEC) is an independent research body composed to review and approve human centered research proposals to safeguard all actual and potential research participants’ dignity, rights, safety, and well-being.

By establishing this Ethics Committee, the FHTS aims to continue its commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards in the field of healthcare research, ensuring that all studies are conducted with integrity, respect for participants, and full compliance with regulatory requirements.

We are pleased to announce that the Foundation of Healthcare Technologies Society – Institutional Human Ethics Committee (FHTS-IHEC) has received provisional registration from the National Ethics Committee Registry for Biomedical and Health Research (NECRBHR), Department of Health Research (DHR), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.

The composition of the FHTS-IHEC is in accordance with ICMR 2017 Guidelines. The committee includes a diverse group of experts to ensure a well-rounded ethical review.

Types of projects reviewed by IHEC: The FHTS IHEC will review scientific and ethical aspects of all types of research studies involving human participants; sponsored by Government of India/ NGOs, studies in collaborations with national and international organizations/universities, all dissertation projects, research projects of undergraduate students carried out under the guidance of faculty and investigator initiated research studies which are self- funded/ funded by Institutional funding bodies.
