Foundation of Healthcare Technologies Society, in collaboration with the Dept. of Community Medicine, Government Doon Medical College, observed World Population Day on 11th July 2026.

The event began with an introductory talk on the day’s theme by Dr. Richa Sinha (Associate Professor, Community Medicine Department). This was followed by inaugural remarks from Dr. Anupama, Head of the Department of Community Medicine, who spoke on the public health challenges linked to population growth and the need for evidence-based family planning initiatives.

Dr. Anoja Sundar then elaborated on the significance of World Population Day and introduced an e-poster competition on the theme “Navigating Tomorrow: Youth Aspirations, Digital Realities, and the Future of Family Planning,” encouraging students to bring innovative perspectives on the role of digital technologies in reproductive health promotion.
