World Food Day Observed at FHTS SMAART Center, New Delhi, Delhi, India
October 16, 2026
On World Food Day, October 16, 2026, the FHTS SMAART Center in Delhi observed the day through a community outreach visit to Dhobi Ghat, Kirby Place, Delhi. The visit was part of FHTS’s community health work, which brings public health awareness directly to the communities it serves, and this day extended the same spirit to nutrition and healthy eating. The FHTS team spoke with community members about the food choices that shape our health. They discussed which foods are good for the liver and which are harmful, and shared simple, practical guidance on what to eat and what to avoid in daily meals. By explaining these ideas in everyday language, the team aimed to help families make informed choices about their diets. Activities like this remind us that good nutrition begins with awareness, and that public health works best when it reaches people where they live.
