Dr. Anoja Sundar is a dedicated Public Health Researcher at FHTS, whose career bridges the comprehensive wisdom of traditional medicine with contemporary public health science.
Her academic career is strongly focused on Public Health, having earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) and currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Health from Parul University, Vadodara, Gujarat. This advanced training is grounded in her foundational degree, a Bachelor’s in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) from the University of Kerala.
Dr. Sundar brings over three and a half years of professional public health experience, including her previous role as a Public Health Researcher at FHTS and as a Project Research Scientist in a prominent NHRP project funded by ICMR. Complementing this, she gained her valuable three years of clinical experience through practice and medical tourism, which provides her with a holistic view of patient care and health systems.
Her core expertise lies in Implementation Science, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), and effective Stakeholder Engagement for public health programs.
Dr. Sundar’s professional vision centers on addressing the growing public health burden, such as Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). She seeks to work closely in this domain by scientifically integrating the preventive aspects of Ayurveda with public health principles. This approach aims to promote population well-being, supported by the systematic use of Data and Digital Health tools for validation and scaled implementation.
