Rashi Thakur has a PhD in Anthropology. Her academic journey has been at the University of Delhi, where she completed her B.Sc. in Anthropology in 2020 and her M.Sc. in 2022, through merit, specialising in biosocial anthropology.

Her research focuses on topics such as public health, reproductive and women’s health, and how health, society, and the environment are connected through an anthropological lens.

She has been awarded the UGC Junior Research Fellowship (UGC-JRF) for academic excellence and research potential.

Rashi has also contributed to academic literature with research publications in Scopus-indexed journals. Her PhD research work was among rural women in midlife years, focusing on their reproductive health and well-being during menopause. Apart from research, she has actively contributed to the teaching of bachelor’s and master’s students in anthropology and forensic science.
